The word shīʿah derived from شيعة علي, shīʿatu ʿAlī, ‘followers of Ali’. The term shīʿah itself means “party” or “faction,” and the term first appears with reference to those who followed ʿAlī in the wars that he fought as caliph against the Umayyads. [1] Shiah people are those who believe that Hazrat Ali and his successors are the only people who can be the Imams and they will lead the muslims.

There are many sects of Shiah muslims some of their believes are totally against islam. [2]

Twelverism (Imami): This is the largest brach of shiah muslim.[3] The percentage of Twelversim shiah is around 85%[4]. This writing is only focused on the majority of the Shiah muslims but there are many other groups and subgroups their believes can be different which is not the topic.

ড. খোন্দকার আব্দুল্লাহ জাহাঙ্গীর’s book “কুরআন সুন্নাহর আলোকে ইসলামী আকীদা” where he mentioned all the wrong belives of shia muslim. Most of the shiah (Twelver almost 85%) they believe that including there chalips Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman ® all the companions of Harzat Muhammad (PBUH) are Munafiq, Murtad (Those who leaves Islam) and Oppressors. They also believe that they spreading hatred against all companions except the Ali’s family is a part of Iman. Furthermore, they don’t believe in those Hadiths narrated by companions. [5]

Some Fatwa From Sunni Islamic Scholars

In one recorded question and answer session with Sheikh Saleh bin Fawzan al-Fawzan, a current member of the Council of Senior Religious Scholars, a man asks whether it is permissible to call rafidha and Shia “our brothers.” The sheikh responds, “We are exonerated by God for this statement, they are not our brothers … rather they are brothers of Satan…. Whoever says they are our brothers must repent.” [6]

In September 2016, Saudi Arabia’s current grand mufti Abdulaziz al-Sheikh told the Okaz Newspaper that Iranians, who are mostly Shia, are not Muslims, stating “We must understand that they are not Muslims, they are sons of Majus (a pejorative term for Zoroastrian), and their hostility with Muslims is a longstanding matter, particularly with Sunnis.”[7]

One of the greatest islamic scholar of sunni muslim in 21th century Abdulaziz bin Baz, In responding to a question regarding the difference between the Sunni and the Shia, bin Baz noted that some Shia are unbelievers while others are not, but that “among the most evil of them are the Twelver Imams and Al-Nusayriyyah referring to the Alawi community who are also called Al-Rafidah." [6:1] And they are the largest brach of shia muslims. [4:1]

There was a incident where a six year old was killed just because of the fact that he is a shiah! Even though this is irrelevant but the way sunni muslim scholars spread hatred against them this kind thing can be occur[8]
